Ankle boots. My favorite type of boot. Actually, just my favorite type of shoe. Do I wear other types of shoes? Of course I do, but if I had to choose to wear one style of shoe my entire life, it would probably be the ankle boot. I mean, why not? They come in soooo many styles, colors, and varieties; there's literally an ankle boot out there for everyone and basically any occasion. 90 degree weather? No problem, ankle boots with cutouts. Casual yet dressy office party on a rooftop building looking over the twinkling lights of New York City and you've got the perfect little black dress, with lace sleeves and an a-line skirt, but are in dire need of a pair of perfect little booties? How about a pair of blue (navy blue, royal blue, cobalt blue, whatever blue suits your mood) high-heeled, peep-toe booties? I feel like putting on a pair of ankle boots instantly dresses up what would be an extremely casual and laid back outfit as well. For example, jeans and a t-shirt. Throw on a pair of ankle boots, cuff your jeans and there you go... insta-glam! The possibilities with these things are endless, like really.

I for one, have a growing collection of ankle booties. So far, between my sister Naznin, my mom, and I, (we all wear the same shoe size so we've got a happy shoe collection going...hehe) we've got about 8 pairs, all well loved, but some worn more than others. Out of all the booties, I can't say I have a favorite pair because I haven't quite found "the ones" yet, you know? That perfect pair that I can wear anytime, with any outfit. I think I may have found them but I'm not sure. The boots I'm talking about are the Sam Edelman Petty Boots. Been coveting these babies for a while now. They come in about nine colors/patterns, (depending on where you buy them from) so deciding can be quite difficult. I'm leaning towards the Black Suede though. I really love the contrast of the black suede material with the rich brown of the heel and sole. (Love!) Asos has quite a few that I really like also, and they're affordable! (yay!).

Whatever color or style you choose, ankle boots are a staple, they're so simple yet so stylish.
